Sharon Khunkhun

Sharon Khunkhun, Esq.

Immigration attorney, President of Khunkhun Law

My parents immigrated from India to England (UK) in the late 60’s, shortly after they got married, and England is where I was born. In 1989, we immigrated to the US—Astoria, New York, to be specific! Due to the reckless and negligent representation of a US immigration attorney, my family and I suffered the bleakest years of our lives. We fell out of legal status and were relegated to navigating the dark corridors of US immigration laws by ourselves with no real options. Needless to say, I know what it is like to be at the mercy of a heartless immigration attorney and the US immigration system. Fortune shined upon us 7 years later when I won the Green Card lottery as I was a UK-born national and I was able to get my Green Card. I then had the GREATEST PRIVILEGE OF MY LIFE to sponsor my parents for their Green Cards when I became a US Citizen. This changed our lives and not a day goes by that I am not in touch with the real-life, raw implications that immigration representation has on the lives of real human beings every day.

“She not only took care of the legal aspects of our application but also went the extra mile to help us understand every facet of the process. She helped transform us from being clueless and stressed to informed and confident applicants. We started to enjoy the process rather than dreading it. Her attention to detail and thorough guidance left no room for doubt or anxiety. Looking back on our immigration journey, we remember the experience with fondness, and it's largely thanks to her. We loved working with Sharon, and cannot recommend her highly enough!”

“We had a great experience working with Khunkhun Law. Sharon and the whole team made the process as straightforward as could be from initial consultation to the resolution of our case. All of our questions were answered in a timely and thoughtful manner. The immigration officer even complimented how nicely our case was put together. Over the years, Khunkhun Law has proven itself as a cornerstone in family immigration law and an empathic, steadfast partner to its clients. Fundamentally, we have secured notoriety through our helpful and diligent services. A client can contact Khunkhun Law for example, as soon as they have decided to get married, obtaining immediate and actionable information over how the foreign national spouse can obtain a Green Card and move to the United States safely. Oftentimes, we are approached by clients for whom their Green Card application is a time-sensitive issue, though the couple’s plans to get married are thwarted by local clerk’s office delays and bureaucracy. For us, this simply won’t do—we work with the client to circumvent these frustrations.

Sharon is very passionate about her work in family-based immigration cases where she uses creativity to weave together her clients’ narratives so that USCIS can understand the authenticity of her clients' relationships. After having worked with several Fortune 500 companies, hundreds of and small to medium-sized IT consulting companies all over the United States, Sharon has stepped away from the corporate world to dedicate herself to family immigration, to dedicate herself to you!
