Over the course of more than 20 years, Sharon Khunkhun has dedicated her practice to representing a multitude of interests before specializing in immigration law.
Sharon began her legal career as a Court Attorney to a New York City Judge immediately after graduating from St. John’s School of Law in 2001. She served as Court Attorney in New York City's Criminal Court and Civil Court. Sharon then joined a large New York based product liability firm in their toxic torts division where she represented manufacturers in complex national and international complex toxic and mass tort litigation, including federal class actions, multi-district litigation, and appeals—involving chemical exposures, environmental contaminants, and other chemicals, compounds and products considered persistent, bioaccumulative, and toxic.
“Profesional and human. Lawyer and friend. Truthful and efficient. ”
— Google Review-Manuel
After ten years of litigation experience, Sharon established her own practice—a full-service family immigration and nationality law firm.
With the CEO and leader of the company, Sharon Khunkhun, already intimately familiar with the stress and anxiety that poor communication in immigration services can cause, she and her staff work hard to ensure that none of Khunkhun Law’s clients receive similar treatment. Instead, it takes great pride in always being available on the other end of the phone, treating each client with respect and dignity, using its already tech-enabled processes to continue to do so even during the height of the pandemic. Unafraid to bring heart and soul into its work, Sharon defies the traditional standard of law in order to retain a human connection, changing lives for the better, and consistently living up to her title of ‘the love lawyer’ as a result.
Over the years, Khunkhun Law has proven itself as an cornerstone in family immigration law and an empathic, steadfast partner to its clients. Fundamentally, it has secured notoriety through its helpful and diligent services, wherein a client can contact Khunkhun Law as soon as they have decided to get married, obtaining immediate and actionable information over how the foreign national spouse can obtain a Green Card and move to the United States safely. Oftentimes, Khunkhun Law is approached by clients for whom their Green Card application is a time sensitive issue, though the couple’s plans to get married are thwarted by local clerk’s office delays and bureaucracy. For Khunkhun Law, this simply won’t do, and the team works with the client to circumvent these frustrations.
Able to guide clients in all things marital immigration law – right from the very first phone call – Sharon and her team serve clients through filing their cases in a manner that is thorough and avoids unnecessary stress. Therefore, in an industry that already can prove both intimidating and stressful, the firm has made itself a supportive and tenacious partner to its clients, taking a big picture approach to its services in order to treat immigration as a holistic process that it can see through from beginning to end. In this manner, it ensures that a client feels totally supported during the time they are in the care of Khunkhun Law.
“Sharon is AMAZING!! Not only is she a brilliant immigration attorney, Sharon is kind, caring and went beyond her requirements and responsibilities in order to help my brother to get his green card.”

Sharon is also very passionate about her work in family-based immigration cases such as marriage-based Green Cards and K-1 fiancé visas, where she uses creativity to weave together her clients’ narratives so that USCIS can understand the authenticity of her clients' relationships. After having worked with several Fortune 500 companies, hundreds of and small to medium sized IT consulting companies all over the United States, Sharon has stepped away from the corporate world to dedicate herself to family immigration.
